During Summer 2019, Danny worked to create a foundation for YSS University by gathering information about current training opportunities, organizing the data, and developing materials to better present these opportunities to staff.
During Summer 2019, Annie created a program evaluation plan for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa. The evaluation plan will act as a guide for BGCCI staff to use data to make more informed decisions for improved program quality.
During Summer 2019, Linh worked to support Variety - the Children’s Charity’s mobility program by identifying areas of improvement, locating recipients for bikes for a special fundraiser, and assisting with the different steps of the mobility program over the summer.
During Fall 2017, Nathaly worked with Fiver Children’s Foundation to establish a plan for their alumni engagement efforts and new programming through surveying and initial implementation.
During Fall 2017, Denisha helped YSS pilot their redesign of a youth conference, Risky Business, into an action summit that focused on youth-adult partnerships and creating change within local communities.
During Summer 2017, Alex worked to create three years of curricula for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa’s program called Opportunities for Post-Secondary Success.
During Summer 2017, Clarissa worked to develop a student engagement component for YSS and IHYC’s Post-Secondary Education Retention Program. The goal was to make community involvement more accessible to working students.
During Fall 2016, Emma created a community-based mentoring program for youth in YSS’s emergency shelter, in addiction treatment, and in transitional living.
During Fall 2016, Rina worked on creating and implementing the Family Engagement Program with Fiver Children’s Foundation, which works to serve the entire family as a unit.
During Fall 2016, Tara led the efforts to implement a health initiative called, Sqord, focusing on wearable fitness devices and expanding the Healthy Lifestyles programming.
During Summer 2016, Ashley developed an active summer camp program fro Boys & Girls Club of Magic Valley that included kayaking, biking, hiking, zip lining, and an outdoor challenge ropes course.
Leah worked to expand Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland’s Healthy Lifestyles youth programs by restructuring and adding program resources during Summer 2016.
During Summer 2015, Macie helped coordinate Boys & Girls Club of Provo’s Members participation in the Kids Adventure Games. Additionally, she developed Garden Club for Members to learn about healthy eating, environmental conservatism, and other STEM related classes.
