Fellowship Projects: Evaluate Programs
During Fall 2020, Tina worked with Iowa Center for Children’s Justice, where she helped create surveys to evaluate their services in legal representation for children in high-conflict custody cases, education and alternative dispute resolution including child-focused mediation, and divorce.
During Fall 2020, Kaitlyn worked with Variety - the Children’s Charity of Iowa, where she created a sustainable program evaluation process for Variety’s Mobility and Compassion Fund programs.
During Fall 2019, Suzanne worked with Youth INC in relation to their Metrics Program by analyzing and surveying alumni (youth nonprofit partners) to identify their on-going and changing needs to build a culture of evaluation within their organizations.
During Summer 2019, Dakari worked as a program evaluator and program facilitator with Territory NFP.
During Summer 2019, Annie created a program evaluation plan for Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa. The evaluation plan will act as a guide for BGCCI staff to use data to make more informed decisions for improved program quality.
During Fall 2018, Laknath worked as a Program Evaluation Fellow with Row New York. He created data reports analyzing data for each borough Row New York works in. Additionally, he analyzed attrition rates of Row New York participants. Finally, he created a Data Handbook to ensure that everyone has access to information on the type of data Row New York collects.
During Fall 2018, Brianne worked as a Curriculum Development Fellow, which involved surveying youth and researching best practices to create improvements to two youth programs, Iowa Youth Congress and State Advisory Council of Iowa.
Rachel developed a social-emotional assessment tool for 6-8 year old Members at Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland over Summer 2018.
During Summer 2018, Josh worked with Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa to develop a framework for a mentoring program through partnerships with local universities, a sports clinic, and an assessment tool for their health program.
During Spring 2018, Bayo developed and facilitated focus groups for Financial Beginnings Oregon to incorporate the voices of the communities they work with.
During Fall 2017, Nathaly worked with Fiver Children’s Foundation to establish a plan for their alumni engagement efforts and new programming through surveying and initial implementation.
During Fall 2017, Jarlisa worked to assess, improve, and expand a teen leadership and civic engagement recognition program.
During Summer 2017, Joie focused on measuring and enhancing Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa’s health and wellness program called Triple Play.
Bryan worked to evaluate and strengthen Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Iowa’s youth leadership and service programs during Summer 2016.
Alyssa worked as a Program Evaluation Fellow at YSS where she worked to evaluate the organization’s metrics and form a comprehensive tracking system to measure program impact over the next five years.
