Surveyed existing and past outreach practices and initiatives
Regularly participated in programming, working directly with students at after school tutoring and during field trips
Engaged in direct outreach over e-mail and telephone and represented 826CHI at several college and university events
Researched and catalogued potential community and university partnerships, future tabling and outreach events, points of contact for several high-schools, libraries and teen-oriented organizations in 826CHI’s immediate geographic area
Wrote and conducted interviews with Teen Writer’s Studio students in order to gain an insight into potential barriers and additional considerations for teen Students
Made a Google survey building on the Teen Writer’s Studio interviews
Wrote an “Outreach Road Map” to be used by the next Volunteer Manager
Developed curriculum for a “pronouns and gender” lesson geared towards after school tutoring students

200+ students on various field trips
Around 3,500 students (826CHI’s current student population) impacted by providing a more diverse and robust volunteer base
