FUTURE LEADERS IN ACTION ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2023 PARTNERS

Future Leaders in Action is excited to announce eight Summer 2023 partners—Start Lighthouse, Fli Sci, iMentor, Liberated Success, Navigate the Maze to Achievement, Press Pass NYC, South Queens Women’s March, and South Bronx United. Future Leaders in Action will recruit and place eight fellows to work full-time with partners to work on projects that together will impact over 5,000 youth.

On why a FLIA fellow will make a difference for Start Lighthouse, Rina Madhani, Co-founder and Executive Director shared,

“The FLIA fellowship has been central to the success and growth of our inaugural Literacy Hub. Our first FLIA fellow took on the critical work of implementing programming and grew into a leadership position within the hub. We hope and expect the next FLIA fellow will take on those tasks with passion and enthusiasm as well.”

Gabriel Reyes, founder and Executive Director of Fli Sci, described the impact that a Future Leaders in Action fellow will have for their organization saying,

“We are eager for a fellow who wants to work in the social impact sector but may need experience leading projects they either have little background on or have been denied opportunities for such leadership due to structural barriers. As such, we aim to give Fellows autonomy to design and lead the project with our needed goals in mind to help position them for success in acquiring future employment in roles that match their interests.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to announce our Summer 2023 partners. I am certain that our fellows will have a valuable impact on their organizations and the communities they serve,” said Milly Seraus-Roache, Executive Director of Future Leaders in Action.
